OPI Pink-O De Gallo

NL M22

Mexico 2006

Hi Everyone!

Today I have for you OPI’s Pink-O De Gallo, from the 2006 Mexico collection.

OPI Pink-O De Gallo

This is a beautiful, softly frosted, sheer, baby pink, and I don’t know why, but I feel like it’s just a special color. Also, this is one of those colors that came out before OPI went wide-brush, but I didn’t have a hard time with it at all.

The first coat isn’t highly pigmented, but you can start to see that frost. It went on smoothly, without running into my cuticles or anything. The second layer brought out some of that color, especially on my middle finger, where I was a bit more polish-heavy. The frost makes that you can see some brush strokes, and I used to hate that when I was younger, before I actually got into polish. Now, I’ve learned to accept it – even though you can eliminate it by using a sponge to dab on that final coat. The third and final coat was a thicker one, and while there’s still a tiny bit of VNL, I really like it!

In fact, I’m going to a wedding next weekend, and I my dress is a dusty rose color, which I think would look lovely with this color, and some gold jewelry. Maybe I’ll even post a picture ;)

Out of curiosity, I looked up how much this baby costs on eBay – about $15-20. But then, I saw that OPI also had a Lacquer & Lips set for this – which I would have LOVED to have, even though I’m not a lip gal. I wish it were 2006 again...! Just so I could get this set (and be 20 again!) LOL.
