This picture is FOUR coats of the polish, making it completely opaque and deliciously sparkly! This polish is a silver foil that dries very shiny and sparkles in flashes of light. This polish is how I imagine New Year’s Eve as a nail polish!
The first coat was completely sheer, but was not streaky at all and was very pleasant to work with. If you wanted only a gentle sparkle, you could definitely wear this as a one-coater with nothing else, and be very cute. Two coats deepened the sparkle, but you could still see VNL. Three coats covered almost completely, but you could get away with it if you aren’t picky like me. The fourth coat seen above made it completely opaque, but honestly, even though it looked gorgeous, I am never patient enough to let four coats dry (is that even possible!? This is another reason I always gel!).
Removing this was not the most fun activity in the world, there is a lot of sparkle in there. It doesn’t stain, but if you don’t pull the cotton swab straight down, you might get some sparkles in your cuticles or anywhere else for that matter.
There are at least two dupes that I’m aware of from OPI. The first is Kitty White from the Hello Kitty collection in 2016, and the second is Girls Love Diamonds from the MLB (Major League Baseball) collection in 2014. I don’t have Girls Love Diamonds, but if you’re patient, I’ll swatch Kitty White when I get to that collection! =)
